Body Composition Testing
Rather than relying on 'body mass index' which has significant limitations, we now utilize the advanced technology offered by the 'InBody 570' Body Composition Analyzer. This machine allows us to measure the following parameters to better monitor your physical health and make more accurate adjustments to your dietary, exercise and supplementation regimen:

lean muscle mass (in each limb and torso (trunk)

fat mass and percentage

total body water content - including intracellular and extracellular water - this can help assess inflammation, fluid retention (edema) and poor cell function
-
visceral fat - the 'unhealthy' fat that can develop around one's internal organs
-
determine's your suggested basal metabolic rate (i.e. daily caloric intake)
With the results from this testing, we can monitor your progress to more accurately adjust your health plan.

We are confident in the accuracy of the InBody analyzer (it is also used for body composition testing and monitoring by the Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, Johns Hopkins and many professional sports teams).

The test is non-invasive and pain-free, takes less than one minute to complete and requires a few steps prior to testing to maximize the accuracy of testing. We will discuss the requirements for testing prior to your visit.
